In our experience. They can. While most stains washed out fine there were a handful of highly pigmented items that were hard to get out. We recommend a set of colorful towels for your colorful messes and the white or natural colors when you want a simple, muted, or elevated aesthetic.

First things first. When you first receive your UNpaper towels, throw them in for a wash before first use.

• After they've been washed, simply stack them up and re-roll one at a time
• They can be rinsed and reused a few times
• Once done, collect the dirties in a bin or *PRO TIP* laundry bag 
• Washing in a laundry bag makes collecting and restacking them a breeze

These napkins are best for small spills and napkins. For super absorbency powers, check out our dishcloths.

They are not prewashed, so it is least absorbent when first used. Wash after wash, the cotton flannel will become more absorbent and feel thicker. They cling better once the fabric has been washed and dried a few times.

For best results, wash cold with like colors and tumble dry low or air dry. All fabric items last longer when washed by hand, but don’t be afraid to toss them in the washing machine for a more rigorous clean.   

Every dye lot (batch of fabric) is different, and sometimes prints can ‘bleed’, meaning the dye can leach out of the fibers in the wash. To prevent color transfer onto other laundry, we recommend washing a few times with like colors on warm to set the dyes in the fabric. Although not necessary, drying on low heat will also speed up the dye setting process.

They are made from 100% cotton flannel with polyester thread for durability. Cotton flannel fabric is the perfect thickness, compostable, soft and absorbent.
