Vinegar has a number of drawbacks that Force Of Nature does not have. Vinegar is highly corrosive. Cleaning with regular vinegar damages stone surfaces, including granite, marble, limestone, and onyx. While Force Of Nature can be used on any sealed stone. While vinegar corrodes grout and rubber, Force Of Nature does not.

Vinegar is also not an EPA registered disinfectant or sanitizer and also doesn't have the same cleaning efficiancy. Force Of Nature is just as effective as many conventional cleaners including bleach, Windex, Febrez, Formula 409, and Scrubbing Bubbles.

This question is slightly more complicated to answer than usual. That's because the activator capsule, is a precise mixture of salt, water, and vinegar. However when mixed with water in the appliance (as directed) the resulting solution is no longer salt, water, or vinegar but a combination of sodium hydroxide and hypochlorous acid, or electrolyzed water.
